Advay and Anaya grew up around each other because their fathers were childhood friends. Their families were close, their lives often crossed, and even as kids, they had a quiet bond.
Advay came from a big joint family where the house was always full, but he kept to himself. He didn't like being involved with his cousins or the constant noise. Anaya, on the other hand, lived in a small, warm home. Being expressive came naturally to her, and she always pulled Advay out of his silence without even trying.
They weren't in love back then. They were just two kids who understood each other without needing too many words.
As they grew older, life drifted them apart. The families still knew each other, but Advay and Anaya stopped being as close.
They found each other again. This time, they were older, more aware, and carrying the pressure of becoming doctors. What started with sharing notes and checking up on each other slowly became something deeper. Advay became her calm when she panicked. Anaya became the warmth he didn't know he needed.
They didn't say it out loud, but something was definitely forming between them.
But love isn't always smooth.
Anaya's overthinking, a third person's involvement, and bad timing created misunderstandings between them. Small things piled up, assumptions grew, and before they could fix it, they broke apart.
Still, no matter how much they tried to move on, their feelings didn't fade. They kept coming back to each other's thoughts, even when they weren't talking.
and finally with time they clear everything. They choose each other.

We've all heard about 'the main character'. The type of person who lives through the most dramatic and improbable situations, and finds the kind of epic romance you only see in works of fiction. Which makes you think about how unrealistic love like that is. I used to think the same thing until I met him.
Until I met 'the bad boy' that, as it turns out, wasn't that bad at all, just simply...a boy. A boy with an easy smile, a charming personality and looks so enticing that I couldn't keep my eyes off of him if I tried. A boy whose shoulders were starting to slump with the weight of his past and his family. A boy who believed that the only way to survive was by putting a lock on his heart and chaining it down to a place so deep inside of him that no one could ever reach it again. A boy who, for reasons I'll never comprehend, placed the key inside my palm and didn't shy away when I tried to free his hidden heart from its restraints. A boy who made me the main character of my own story. A story I never want to forget, and which begged to be put on paper.
This is that story.
