"Do you believe in fate?" Jean asks, his gaze stays away from the stars, and instead, he looks at you as if you were his star.

You look at Jean, "Yeah, I do. Do you?" You brace yourself for the answer you knew he'd give you, but it still stung regardless.

Jean takes a deep breath, like your question had been something that he'd talked about many times before, and he'd grown tired of giving the same answer each time. He shakes his head. "No, I don't."
