At last I saw hope. Wandering in the dessert all alone I couldn't see anything. All I saw were dry and shriveled plants. The rain had just fallen and the rainbow was now emerging. Elated to see the zinc top, abandoned house I ran towards it. Inside smelled like spoilt egg and dead rats. Though happy to be rescued by the abandoned house, I was sad at the moment because of the condition of the house. The furnitures were rotten and the floor was also breaking away. The paintings were ancient and designed by Ashley Crawford, a famous painter. Approaching the kitchen I saw water dripping from the rusty pipe. The drum outside had caught some water from the little droplets of rain that fell. It wasn't enough to moist my dry lips. For the first time in my life, I felt like giving up. When I went into the living room a feeling of death went over me. I shivered. There was a television from the 1900s and an old carpet which was filled with dust. The windows were shattered like a terrible storm had past through. When I looked up I saw the ceiling; though missing a few zincs it was a bit strong. Determined in recovering my hope, I went on an adventure in the house. Entering the bathroom I smelt a sweet scent. Though puzzled by the unusual scent I looked around. There was a cup near the toilet as though someone had been drinking from it. At this time I really wanted to uncover the mystery behind this house. " Ashley, Ashley!" I heard someone yell my name across the hall. When I listened carefully it was my mother's voice. I shut my eyes and opened them back. Relieved to see my mother's face I realized it was just a horrible dream.
