It's been a while since Shadow the Hedgehog heard something about his half-brother, Eclipse the Darkling, so he decides to search for him. When some tragic events happen, not everything about his half-brother is as clear to Shadow as it was before.

He eventually opens up to Sonic and team after an incident that occurred with GUN, things aren't so easy after being taken in by the blue hedgehog, no where else to go he didn't have much of a choice never made a home for himself only returning to the ark hoping one day maybe he could get the life he had once back, unable to stay with Rouge Sonic was the best option despite their rivalry.
