Never again...

Cornelius Grange's journal chronicles his descent into fever-induced madness, triggered by a disturbing phone call from his friend Lorenzo. Plagued by hallucinations and paranoia, Cornelius becomes convinced Lorenzo is a demonic presence and attacks him. Overwhelmed by delirium, Cornelius unknowingly murders a woman with a pickaxe. Briefly regaining clarity, he is horrified by his actions and blames his opium use for unleashing the monstrous cruelty within him. He vows to never again succumb to the darkness that drove him to commit such a horrific act.
