Star Rubio is seen to be an regular trans person who dealt with stuff in her life that shaped her into what she is now, dealt with bullies, terrible step father, and racist teachers. But she came through it with the help of her mother, her best friend and her personality she named Nova. As her mother, herself, and her friend's family moved from where they was staying in and moved to New York so that their kids could have an better life in the city.
Star is having an good time with the life in New York still have a few bullies but not that much when she was a kid; she always loves heroes and wanted to become one at any point in her life. And her dream somewhat came true when she found out that she was born with powers from her missing biological father.
