Arnav had married Khushi thinking he had finally found someone who could see beyond his mask. Someone who could touch the lonely boy he buried under years of responsibility. But Khushi... she brought her light into the family and left none for him.

She smiled, laughed, served food, celebrated every small event-but not with him. She became the darling of the family, the embodiment of a perfect daughter-in-law. He watched her laugh with NK, tease Nani, hug Payal. But when she turned to him, it was always about someone else.

"Arnav ji, did you talk to Akash? He's feeling low."
"Arnav ji, can we plan a surprise for Nani?"
"Arnav ji, NK is so funny, na? He always cheers everyone up!"

And Arnav... he nodded. He always nodded.

No one knew how often he woke up in the middle of the night, reaching for warmth, finding only cold sheets. No one noticed the way his eyes lingered on Khushi when she danced around others but avoided his gaze. He tried to speak. Once. Twice. A hundred times. But the words choked in his throat, strangled by the pride and pain he never let anyone see.

Because Arnav Singh Raizada wasn't supposed to need anything.

But he needed someone. He needed to be heard. Chosen. Prioritized.

The day meant to be the best day of her life had turned out to be the worst one. Celebration of love and harmony, which the night was supposed to be, ended up as the witness to bloodshed and hatred. With the stench of corpses choking her and the sight of mutilated bodies shattering her, Khushi stood benumbed, decked up in exquisite bridal finery, and the signs of a newly married woman shining brightly against her paled demeanor and the blood which had splayed against her; the blood of her own, maybe of her own father. Her father's lifeless body was strewn across several others and her mother's breathing yet lost body hovered over his; her hollow and teary eyes pleading him to rise and embrace her but her efforts were in vain. But that was not the only agony killing her from inside. The affliction of betrayal, from her own husband, on the wedding day, after reiteration of his love from the passionate ministrations on their first night together, felt like the worst nightmare coming true. From the pieces of her broken heart, the resolve to avenge arose and Khushi Gupta was not the one to let her heart's desire be unheard. Deceit for a deceit, eye for an eye, heart for a heart, so what if the world ends or goes blind? After all, all is fair in love and war and Arnav Singh Raizada had turned her love into the inspiration for a bloody war. ~Stab the body and it heals, but injure the heart and the wound will last for a lifetime.~ Banner: @KoeliDalmiya

Author's Note: This is my only unedited book; the style of writing is thus different from what you might have seen in my other books. Compared to them, this book also has much more grammatical mistakes. Hope you enjoy it nevertheless. ________________ ~"Khushi Kumari Gupta , will you marry me? Here...in this same mandap!! Will you give me the honour of being your life partner? Will you light up my darkness filled life with your smile? Will you be with me...till the end of the time?" He asked with his hopeful eyes locked with her teary ones. ~"I love you Khushi...I really do! I can't bear even a single scratch on you...it hurts me.." He said looking at her skin which had turn red after their passionate moment. She smiled shyly and hid her face in his chest. ~"I didn't marry you because I loved you but because I wanted to use you!! This..." He caressed her cheek onto which tears had dried up, "this body!! I wanted to use this!! And this..." He placed his hand over her heart, "I wanted to play with this!!!!" ~~ Life is never a bed full of roses and her only mistake was that she denied this saying under the delusion of having a world filled with love. What happens to Khushi who has been living in a world where pain couldn't even touch her...where only happiness were awaiting her but then one day, the realisation hit her hard. The realisation that everything was a lie...an illusion created by none other than her own love? What happens to Arnav who decides to destroy his only love with his own hands due to a misconception only to realise the truth when the damage is done? Genre: Fanfiction Sub Genre: Romance, angst READERS DISCRETION ADVISED! This book doesn't deal with sexual contents but has a mild encounter with self harm! If you can't handle the slightest of that, I advise you not to read it. It's not dark but can be harmful if you are too sensitive to stuffs such as depression and mental instability.

Hello Readers! This was originally a Bepannaah/Adiya fanfic, but I am publishing this story as an Arshi fanfic as well. I hope this fandom enjoys this story just as much as Adiya fans did. Description: A marriage of convenience between Arnav and Kushi. A tragedy brought them together and both knew they can never love each other. But then why were they drawn to each other? Why couldn't they stop themselves from coming closer? See their relationship develop in this new love story. ये इश्क़ नहीं आसान बस इतना समझ लीजिये, एक आग का दरिया है और डूब के जाना है. Yeh ishq nahi aasaan, bas itna samajh lee jiye
Ek aag ka darya hain, Aur doob ke jaana hain (This love is not easy one needs to understand, it is an ocean of fire and you can only drown in it to cross it) ---------------------------- AN ARSHI FANFIC - Picking up from the night of the contract marriage this will be a tale of passion, deception and unbreakable resolve. Will the fire between them burn away the lies, or will silence become their undoing? I don't own the characters of Arnav, Khushi & others and this story is fictional. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead or actual events is purely coincidental.
