Kalí had never had any good luck in her life despite her spacey mother hearing "good luck" in Greek once while on a trip and deciding to base Kalí's whole existence on it. It felt back-handed, her mother cursing her to always have this moniker follow her through life but never making it true.
One day, after moving to another new school in another new town and meeting another set of new people, Kalí and the people she'd been assigned a school project with find an old box in the attic. Kalí assumes it was something the last family left here, just another box of junk. But she finds herself incredibly wrong after picking up a normal looking pen. What will she do when she has to face a new world altogether?
