Elowyn is sitting in her room reading a romance novel when suddenly a group of men barges in and takes her away...to The Forest Prison. A Forest surrounded by a magical barrier, keeping countless dangerous prisoners in. The only catch? The barrier doesn't cover the top of the forest requiring the 'tree keepers' to come in and measure the trees closest to the barrier. Every. Day. Making sure they aren't too tall that the prisoners can climb up and over the barrier. Benedict, a tree keeper, grows a liking to sweet, innocent, Elowyn right away. But does she feel the same? Or would she rather lay her eyes on the dangerous, straggly prisoner who helps her out once in an awhile?
