Logan Reed is twelve years old, and already tired of pretending.

Junior high is hard enough without managing the colour of your scales, keeping your tail from growing in, and remembering which heated hoodie has working batteries. Passing for human takes effort. So does fitting in. And honestly, they feel like the same thing most days.

He's not out to save the world. He's not even trying to stand out. He just wants to make it through the school year without turning a shade of bright green under the fluorescent lights.

For someone who's supposed to be an alien, Logan's life feels a little too ordinary.
