"I just want to die, Piper. I can't take it anymore."

When she finds out her best friend, Gaby, is soon going to commit suicide, Piper Emerson decides to run away from home with only a small backpack and some stolen money to try to stop her. Journeying from Toronto, Canada to Gaby's hometown of Anaheim, California, Piper begins to question if saving the life of someone she's never met in real life and only talked to online is really worth it.

A story of hope, friendship and recovery. If you liked 'Why He Jumped', you'll like this. This is my first piece of writing that I've shared publicly, so it may not be the best, but thanks for reading anyways! Please remember to comment and vote :)

High school senior Emerson Vermont is counting down the days until graduation, desperate to leave behind her small town and its tangled past. But when her mother is seriously injured in a car accident, Emerson's carefully laid plans are thrown into chaos. Now, she's forced to move in with her ex-boyfriend's family, dragging old wounds and unresolved feelings right back to the surface. As she adjusts to this unexpected reality, Emerson finds comfort in a familiar face, forming a connection that begins to blur the line between solace and true affection. Torn between the past she thought she'd outgrown and a future that feels increasingly out of reach, she must confront her emotions and the unintended consequences of her choices.. Will Emerson find the strength to move forward, or will she stay stuck in the version of herself she's trying so hard to leave behind? Trigger warnings: alcohol abuse, suicide, mentioning of drugs, ... Please read with caution.
