I have written in journals my whole life. They have helped me look back and provide evidence of the abuse I endured as a child. They're my lifeline. This isn't a fictional story--this is what I wrote about my life. It's not all about abuse, though. It mostly talks about my family dynamics and what my life was like at school, and crushes! If you wanna read about the inner thoughts of a quirky, introverted, but sassy girl keep reading. This is a transcription (certain names/places omitted d/t privacy ) of my diary from 8th to 11th grade.

This is a real diary, raw and (mostly) unfiltered. Set in the Netherlands, you can follow my journey from childhood to adulthood - a rocky road full of obstacles, including but not limited to: hyperreligious parents, mental health issues, trying to find love, finding my queer identity. However, it is also a testament to the importance of strong friendships, honesty and authenticity, and human resilience. While there was some friction at times, I was doing relatively fine still, though I was quite delusional. Read the introduction for background information and the best way to get through it. All the names are changed to American ones to reduce the chance of anyone being negatively affected by this.
