Tiny beings, born of shimmer and storm.

They moved like the rain itself knew how to keep them hidden.

Everyone else rushed past, umbrellas raised, eyes down.
No one noticed.
Except her.
One fairy remained. Still, glowing, watching her like it had been waiting.
When she whispered, "Hello,"
the world began to shift.
But the rain wasn't the only thing falling that day.
A parcel was coming.
A diary that writes back.
A demon who already knows her name.
And a truth her father buried long ago.

Author's Note: I appreciate the traction this book gets here and there but fair warning, I wrote this when I was quite young and it's paced poorly just to get my ideas stored in my head onto a digital format. Her teeth is wrapped around my neck and she sinks them in. I try to scream but it's hard to. At first it hurts but now the pain no longer exists. I feel like there is no such thing as pain and I feel light as if I can float off the Earth. Fine as hell white boy with a pro-black activist fall for each other.
