Author's Note: This story is very personal to me.
Growing up, I experienced deep struggles with depression. I'm grateful to say that I no longer carry those thoughts, but those moments shaped me-and they left behind a softness in my heart for anyone who is hurting in silence.
I wrote this book to explore the grief that often goes unspoken, the quiet battles people face, and the power of showing up for someone-even when they seem like a stranger. Sometimes the people who seem "attention-seeking" are actually crying out for help the only way they know how. I've been there. And I know how much it matters when someone chooses to care anyway.
At the heart of this story is my faith. I believe in God wholeheartedly, and it's His love that carried me through my darkest seasons. This book is a reflection of that-of how God gives us second chances, how He sits with us in the pain, and how He brings healing even when everything feels broken.
