Once upon a time, there were only four seasons in the world. Winter, autumn, spring and summer each carried their own form of love: light; deep; desperate and bright. But one day, a fifth appeared. It did not come by calendar, nor did it change the weather - it appeared in the minds of people. It had no scent of flowers or rustling of leaves, it was shadow and light at the same time. This new season knew no boundaries. It became a different kind of love - one that did not fit into the usual forms. Five short stories about the love of spring, summer, autumn, and winter... and the one that came after. The one that changes everything.

Four beings rule the four seasons. Spring has her turn from March until June, restoring the flora that Winter had destroyed during his reign. After her comes Summer, who will control her season until September. She completely unveils the sun, having it beat down on everyone under it. Following her is Autumn. He takes the color from the leaves and sometimes puts it in his hair so Spring can have some dye to use for the leaves when it's her turn once again. Winter will have a grip on the planet for the rest of the calendar year starting in December, and continue on into the early months of the next year. He blows on the earth, covering it in snow and frost. Autumn and Spring were good friends; they've helped each other on several occasions. But Summer and Winter were so different the very concept of a companionship between them was hard to grasp. But they say opposites attract, right?
