In a crumbling village on the edge of the werewolf kingdom, twenty-two-year-old Aria Mirewood lives as an outcast among outcasts. Aria was found abandoned to a small village on the outskirts of werewolf territory and was taken in by the village elders.  After realizing her lack of wolf, the village leaders wanted nothing to do with her because a weak wolf would only bring their small village down further. One kind elder had fought to keep her, opting to raise the newborn herself. 

Aria, now grown-up, lives as a herbalist, unwanted by her peers because of her weakness, she lives alone in a cabin a short walk away from the village. When a wounded wolf collapses at her doorstep, Aria offers him shelter, unaware of the consequences that choice will bring. The stranger is no ordinary wolf, and healing him may cost her more than she expects.
