Dou was a rat. A rat living out his life, eventually finding himself in a sewer. There he meets a mysterious creature who goes by Umei. Umei claims that it can give Dou an opportunity like no other, but is that it? Or is there more to this mysterious creature?
Note: I'm rethinking the whole storyline, so until I figure out something, I probably won't update this. Sorry guys! After all, this was originally a writing assignment... I'll let you know when more comes up, so keep posted!

This is a high school au (no powers) "What was that? You should really speak up ya know" Ranpo says a bit annoyed, looking in his bag and pulling out a hard candy to throw in his mouth. "Uh- yes sorry- I said how about a mystery novel" Poe repeats louder, flustered and a tad embarrassed. "A mystery novel huh? That's a great idea!" Ranpo says happily, clapping his hands. A demon A human girl. What could happen between these two beings combined? Claire was a college student, attending her second year, when she met something that was out of the ordinary. Claire comes in contact with a demon; a Japanese demon to be exact. He is malicious, awfully mischievous and sadistic. When he meets claire, the poor girl would have to suffer for a while at his hand, for the demonic creature had no intentions of letting her live in peace. But something eventually changes in the being the lines of this story. Something the both are not able to describe. He slowly begins to lose interest in killing the girl, and the thought, at one point, seemed like an utter taboo. The two eventually begin to try and come to understand each other, but they would have to deal with one of Claire's old friends, to which she recently parted ways from.
