Nylah and her best friend Tiana, would always get bullied by Kyle and her group of friends, especially by 'Taylor' who follows Kyle everywhere. They are the popular group of friends while Nylah and Tiana are the supposedly 'nerds'.
Nylah meets a new friend on the school bus, from her school's rival school. Jealousy sparks between Kyle the (charismatic stud) and Nylah when Kyle finds out she's talking to her enemy.
Nylah the 'nerdy' stud (or atleast a nerd to Kyle only) develops feeling for Kyle even more when she finds out she's jealous.
