But the way he looked at her told another story, one written in bruises, bitten lips, and poems he'd never let her read. Aylin was never meant to see him again. Not after that night, 30,000 feet in the air. Not after he tasted her, claimed her, and disappeared. But fate is cruel. And Nathan? Even crueler. This is not a collection of perfect poems- but pieces of light that slipped through the places I thought were broken. Each word is a breath I couldn't take back, each line a moment I lived through-softly, silently, and sometimes, in storms. These poems are for anyone who's ever felt too much, for hearts that hide their glow in quiet corners. It holds the love he lost, the love I still carry." ----- Years after her husband's death, she still writes letters by moonlight, holding on to a love lost in war. Everyone says she's foolish for waiting. Until he returns... alive, but with no memory of her and a new life that doesn't include her. Now, she must choose: hold on to a love that's already gone, or let go of the only man she ever waited for. ----- Author's Claim: This is my first time publishing a story and I know I still need improvement. I'm not a professional writer, just someone with a heart full of memories, emotions, and a love that never found its ending. Every word I've written comes from a place of longing, loss, and the hope that maybe someone out there understands. I don't know where this story will go, or if it's enough... But I do know it's real. And if you're reading this, thank you because it means the story is no longer just mine. Walking Into Black
Don't fear death. It does nothing for you. Death is at every turn; the challenge is if you choose to accept it or not. Don't fear pain. Pain is how you learn. Pain is the side-effect of life. If you live life fearing getting hurt...can you truly live life fully? I've felt pain. I've accepted death. I've lived, I've learned, I've drowned a few times. If all I have to show for it is small bundles of letters and words...so be it. That's more than I could have ever hoped for. Everything that means anything to me are just words. You can put anything into words. Anything and everything. You can put death into words. You can put pain into words. You can put fear into words. And I have. And you can read them, if you want. You can learn from them; learn to stop fearing, learn to stop living in the future, behind your mask. But only if you care enough to listen. I speak loud and clear, yet nobody can hear me. The Shadow's Journal
Standing in the cold, looking up at the moon... The stars seem to appear less today... I hear the howls in the distance. The cold breeze swings my way... but it doesn't seem to faze me... and when I'm here in the night... my mind drifts to you... So tell me, do you not feel the cold the moon brings? Don't you feel it's shadow in the night? Crawling from the depths to swallow you whole... The stars seem to disappear, now that the demons have come out to play. Wouldn't you like to break free from these shackles that binds you in the abyss? Do you still feel locked up in this hell... if you can fight them off then you'll be able to break free from this eternal slumber... Maybe then you'll get to feel the cold that I feel under the moon's light... •°•°• This book will be filled with poetry. It will be like a poem diary. I hope these poems will bring some light into your life.
