So, Rei and the others didn't know about her curse they didn't even hear the villain that cursed her tell her this when she defeated him because her friends were passed out and they took Darien's side and understood his feelings for wanting a normal life even if they never will have one. But Rei also admitted that she slept with Darien too so the girls sort of backstabbed Serena since she was his secret girlfriend. So, feeling hopeless she still held faith that she'd find hope and the cure that might save her. So she didn't tell them the truth, she wished them luck and happiness and went on her way with a smile, which confused them all.
