This fan fiction between Draco and a Hogwarts Universe OC Iris Thorne is within the era of "Half-blood Prince", diverting from the original storyline done by J.K Rowling, Dumbledore does not die in this story.

Iris Hawthorne: Ravenclaw, half-blood
Draco Malfoy: Slytherin, pureblood
This tale is through the relationship between Iris and Draco, who have been dating since their fourth year at Hogwarts. However, Iris is a Ravenclaw, and a half-blood. Considering Draco's circumstance, his peers and family would not be approving of this relationship, and tension is heightened now because of Draco being manipulated into being a Death Eater.
They kept a majority of their relationship private, simply because it seemed easier that way, however, nothing seems to be kept secret at Hogwarts for too long.
Iris and Draco, while seeming like opposites, she is a prefect, follows rules, and does not venture outside what is expected of her. This tale expresses how trauma, love, and dedication create an environment where they kind of turn into the same person.
TW: this story will not be necessarily heavy in its tones, but some chapters will mention things such as PTSD and flashbacks. Additionally, a hint of toxicity in relationships, but only in the idea of bad communication/ arguments due to Trauma
