You can't fall in love in a month. That goes without saying. But there was something about that man, between the cracks and dips, that felt like it leaked blood familiar to your own. Between whispered poems and stolen glances, it was only natural he pulled you in, even breaking his own motivation to stay at an arm's length away from anybody.

And then he was gone. Returned in a form you didn't recognize. A face you'd never seen, with the personality of a brick wall. But those eyes- you could never forget eyes so deep, even if they were a different color and belonged to another.

Something about him beckoned. And something about you made it impossible to push away.
