She thought he was just a quirky small-town doctor with a thing for handwritten letters and suspiciously good hair. Sure, Carlisle Cullen told wild stories about the 1600s like he'd been there, and he refused to eat anything but tea and toast. She figured he was just... eccentric. Like, hot-literature-professor energy. Then her car broke down. Then he gave her the key to a cabin on his property and started reading to her unborn baby. By the time she finds out he's actually a vampire (oops), she's already in too deep. Because Carlisle? He listens like her voice matters. He cares like her baby's already his. And when the storm hits, he's the only one she wants by her side. A soft, slow-burn paranormal romance about building a life from the ashes-complete with one cabin, one baby, and one immortal doctor who never expected to fall in love again.

If you're reading this now, I'll assume you've already read my sister's books. She was, after all, the more popular Swan daughter. It had always been that way. If my assumptions are correct, you're probably wondering who I am. Afterall, Bella Swan had not once mentioned me in the story of her life. I wasn't the only thing she left out either. She told the story of a life she wanted to have, not the life she actually had. In her story, I was never born, Edward came back, and they lived happily ever after. I'm here to tell you the real story. OC/Emmett Cullen
