(So first and foremost. JK can take a long hike off a short cliff with her own views. As if that needs saying at this point. Second. I understand that the rules and logic of magic is never meant to be intrinsically the focus of the Harry Potter universe. However, given how I also [from my understanding] notice that there are so many things that don't make any goddamn sense about the magic makes me want. To try and mix it up. Third. I like the Dresden Files, that's about the most you're going to get from my view on how the Magic is going to try and work here. Now as you probably saw, this is a reimagining of the Harry Potter plot structure from the ground up. I'm going to try and keep the original beats the same, and make the originally impactful moments still feel as impactful. Just let me try with this one, okay?) Magic is a bloody fickle force in the universe as a whole. To those who are sensitive, it reveals a world unknown to them. Where ghosts, ghouls, demons, vampires, fairies and everything that conventional life says does not exist....does. Those who have lived in this secret world know that there's an entire history unbeknownst to everyone. An underlying government that micromanages this secret side of society. But of course...with society there is conflict. and with conflict there are wars. And when Magic becomes a factor, those wars can be the most devastating things anyone has ever seen. Of course, magic also makes things far more complicated. Magic can tell the future, and someone learns of a prophecy involving a child. Destined to save everyone by defeating the ultimate evil. This child has their parents killed, and lives with belligerent relatives that treat them horribly. You know this story, you know how it goes. But take a peek at the hypothetical. What if things changed? If someone actually had the Potter Boy's back from the start? What if Harry always knew...he was a Wizard? (Credit to JK for Harry Potter, and Jim Butcher for Dresden)

It was a couple years after the Battle of Hogwarts. A lot of people were finally getting over their shock of the war. Well, most. There were still plenty of people who were still grieving their friends or family's or people they just knew's death. George, for instance, hasn't told or did a prank in months after his twins death. They were practically two puzzle pieces, and if put together, the best prank combo ever. Also, Harry was devastated when Remus and Tonks died, he tried not to show it though. He didn't want people giving him sympathetic looks and what not. Remus was the one who taught him the patronus charm and saved his life countless of times. And Tonks always shifted her form to a pig or something and made him laugh. There were also loads of other people who were grieving also and Hecate was getting worried. You see, Hecate gave four mortals the ability to use magic, but threw magic sticks instead. They soon after made a magical school to teach young witches and wizards to use magic. Centuries gone by and the story of how they got there magical powers twisted and turned until Hecate was out of the picture. Now Hogwarts and many other institutes around the world are basically Hecate's pet world. Anyways, the one person who Hecate know that has gone through the most heartbreak, trauma, and betrayal and that is still sane is... Nico Di Angelo. He will know how to sympathize for these wizards and help them cope. But will the young masters like him? Will they be scared of him? Or will they think he is one of the best teachers at Hogwarts?
