Have you ever wondered what Bakugo Katsuki would be like with a different influence? After his parents were murdered as a kid, he was sent to live in the foster care system. After bouncing around and going to juvie, maybe he has finally found his place? Follow the story!
"He supposed he wouldn't blame her for rejecting him. (He ignored how his heart clenched at that. Not all of the foster homes were bad, but it had been a while since one of the families had at the very least attempted to get to know him.) It wasn't exactly hard to tell that she was dealing with some shit on her own, and adding a kid to the mix wasn't exactly the greatest way to get a handle on your issues.
That didn't mean it didn't hurt. He usually pushed that thought aside, but his therapist in juvie liked to speak on acceptance, and sue him, it worked enough that he'd been giving it a try recently."

(wow! this is really popuar. it's pretty out of character for bakugou which pains me, but it IS a soft bakugou fic. however, i dislike how i completely re-written bakugou's character since i'm pretty big on remaining faithful to canon. i grew out of bnha due to how toxic the fandom can be but i still thank you for the love you've shown this crappy fiction, :) - author from october of 2022) but like, what if his dad died and he was nice??? and instead of ANGY its toxic positivity and internalized RAGEEE??? also random haikyuu crossover- don't worry you don't need to watch/read haikyuu to read this fic, they're just minor characters and minor storylines! mineta ain't such a pervert and jerk and instead she's a trans girl! :D kinda random, but its also a minor storyline, (that is 3/4 the reasons i continue this fic at all-) dekubaku isn't really important :/ but they do platonically AND romantically love each other!Complete

Katsuki Bakugou has always been very cocky. He's never cared for anyone but himself, always getting himself into trouble and not giving a damn about the consequences. He's only 16 when he first gets involved with the police, and 18 when he decided to shoplift with his friends. Only, this time, he was caught. His mother was the one to talk him out of trouble, and then scolded him on the way home. "You're eighteen, you're an adult now. You're gonna go back to school, or get a goddamn job. If you don't pull yourself together by the end of the month, you're out of the house!" Mitsuki screamed, frantically waving her hands around as she dragged her drop-out son to the car. "And pull up your damn pants, I'm not raising a gangster! You have until tomorrow to make your decision." She continued, smacking the blond's arm. The young man didn't give a damn, and refused to make a choice. So his father made one for him - He'd be working at the local library - with his grandmother. Izuku Midoriya is known as the quiet, shy kid. He's only starting his senior year, and excited to graduate so he can head off to university and into his dream job. He spends most of his time studying - although he doesn't need to, he's naturally smart and only reviews his notes out of boredom. Which is why he thought it'd be best to get a job. He'd be able to make money, and do something productive out of his free time. He started working at the library after finishing his junior year, and fell in love with it, so he stayed longer than expected. A simple, quiet job, where he got to meet new people. His only coworker is a sweet old Spanish lady, who talks a lot. He is brought to safety in an unknown underground Shiketsu Bunker where the remaining heroes and civilians settle. There, he not only meets the remaining members of UA, but is also taken under Aizawa's wing to become a hero. But Katsuki is not a hero.
