This a fanfiction flash fiction set within the Dark Crystal. It takes place during the late Age of Division with the Age of Resistance fated to begin a seeming handful of trine later. Merfid is a very young child in this one, learning to speak, perhaps about 2ish. She is not the young woman of the dawning of the Age of Resistance.

The sea god's maiden
She was born beneath a cursed prophecy-raised not for herself, but as a sacrifice promised to the gods. The Maiden of Tides, they called her, a weapon wrapped in white silk, destined to end the reign of the Sea God. He is no merciful deity. The ocean bends to his will, storms are his rage, and mortals are nothing but fleeting sparks against his eternity. Yet when prophecy delivers the Maiden to his shore, he does not see his end. He sees his beginning. Bound by fate, divided by blood and curses, their story was never meant to be love-it was ruin, desire, and destruction written in the stars. But the Sea God whispers a truth no prophecy foresaw: "Every kingdom, every soul, every star-I would burn them all just to keep you." And when the final tide rises, his last words will not be vows, but truth: "I was yours from the beginning... and I'll be yours until the end." A dark romance of sacrifice, prophecy, and forbidden desire-where love may save the world... or drown it.Complete

Forsaken: The Chosen Trilogy - Book One
Before you begin this story, I must warn you first. This is not a tale of dashing knights and lovely damsels awaiting rescue. It is not the tale of happy endings, with birdsong and rides into the sunset. It is a tale of light magic and dark, of dragons and monsters, of heroes and villains and the thin line between them. This is the tale of being broken, being made stronger, and then being broken again. This is a story of love of heartbreak so great if feels like your chest has been hollowed out and scraped clean, like you would never feel anything else ever again, and of love so powerful it can make even the gods tremble. This is not a happy story, but it is our story, and it is the only one I know how to tell. ********************** FORSAKEN is the first tale in the Saga of Darkness, following six brothers and sisters who have been named the Chosen of the Gods, destined to fight a great darkness that threatens their world. But evil wears many faces, and it will take the efforts of all- Kryssa, Brannyn, Lanya, Kylee, Alyxen, and Reyce- to survive the harrowing trials to come. ********************** FORSAKEN is a completed novel, being posted as a serial. Books Two through Five in the Saga of Darkness are also complete. Chapters posted every Monday and Friday.Complete
