When a young woman is transported into a novel, she finds herself bound to the fate of its characters. She becomes determined to help Ju-kyung, the protagonist, navigate the challenges and hardships that lie ahead. But as she tries to make Ju-kyung's life a little more bearable, Han Seo-jun starts to notice the changes in her behavior and actions. He's intrigued by the depth and bravery that lies beneath her surface, and begins to question his own scripted role. As the protagonist's actions deviate from the original story, she feels an inexplicable pain whenever she disrupts a scene, as if the very fabric of the narrative is rebelling against her.
