When Emily Davis was only 10 years old her parents died, leaving her to live with Cadence Sinclair, since then Emily has become on of the liars, for years she has been visiting Beechwood Island. She finds herself always looking forward to the summer, maybe this summer she'll finally know why... - - I do not own any of the characters besides Emily Davis. This will be set in summer 16 if you haven't watched We Were Liars - do it. watch it right now. also I know Johnny was gay in the movie, though as I much as I love that he will be straight in this book, obviously he is the love interest.

Emma Brooke had probably been one of the happiest children every summer of her life. For as long as she could remember, her mom had worked as the cook for the Sinclairs, a popular family who spent every summer on Beechwood Island. As it happened, Emma was around the same age as the oldest children of the three Sinclair daughters, and they quickly became her best friends. Mirren, Cadence, and Johnny had welcomed the brown-haired, green-eyed girl when they were all about four years old, and the kids had been inseparable ever since. Later, when they called themselves the Liars, they welcomed another boy into the group: Gat, the nephew of Johnny's mother's new boyfriend. From then on, the group was tightly knit, spending every minute of every day together. Emma hoped her life would never change. Until it did. Until nothing was ever the same after Summer Sixteen.
