Astrid is both excited and worried about the mission she is about to go on with her old friends. They are being given the mission of a lifetime: they are tasked with finding and capturing the infamous Draugr that has been ransacking and destroying villages alongside his army of dragons. He is their only shot at stopping the raids that are ravaging the archipelago. Maybe along the way, they'll even find the boy who disappeared five years ago and has haunted the Isle of Berk ever since.
Hiccup has lived a lonely and rough life since he ran away from Berk before he was forced to kill a Monstrous Nightmare. Now he lives on his own island, which he's named the Dragon's Edge, and is learning more from the dragons that live there every day as he saves more from dragon hunters. He has always been dealing with his past in a not-so-moral way. His childhood of mistreatment and bullying broke him. Alongside a short imprisonment by Berserkers, Hiccup has long since lost his sympathy for the archipelago and its Vikings. He almost finds the name they have given him ironic. Draugr. The undead warriors of Norse Mythology. He might as well be dead to them.

Viggo hated the child and took him only to get revenge on Stoick the Vast. He abused the boy, beating him almost to death multiple times, marking him with what he called ownership. Now, he's eighteen years old whose desperate to live his life. With so many people after him, his father forces Hiccup to stay on Berk until he finds a man whom he refuses to talk about. Hiccup begins to suffer from night terrors that make him want to stay along with battling his own mental condition. Things go south again when an unexpected traitor hands Hiccup over to the ones who want to destroy him mentally and physically. "Not every person knows the truth, some rulers made sure to hide every fragment of the past" After Hiccup retrieved the Dragon Eye from Dagur, something in him told him to keep the mysterious object a secret from the rest of the dragon riders, it wasn't until the rest of them were busy with their own busy schedule, each of them finding their own vocation and giving up finding more new species of dragons, he decided to explore what the object was made for, thanks to dragon fire light, they found the different islands that it was shown, Heart Break Island it said in the light. His journey would start there. Without knowing, his path would be threading softly, ancestors of his past will be uncovered, discovering the truth behind the years of conflict and wars between dragonkind and humankind. Would Hiccup want to go back to Berk after everything he learned and seen, the secret island of dragons, the truth about Berk, but the most important part is: upon arriving, he feels like home in Dagsátr Island, would he give up his only chance on freedom and exploring dragons or would he go back to his tribe to take one day the role of Chief and feel himself getting lost in his own tribe. Or a, "what if...?", where Hiccup in RTTE goes to retrieve the treasure Johan left behind, encountering Dagur, and stealing back the Dragon Eye from him, he goes on an adventure to an island where he will discover the secret of his past ancestors.

Years passed by, he's now 19. He met a lot of amazing new people and along with it are the people who bring trouble to him. Viggo exists, Ryker exists, Dagur exists, and most important of all.. his home, Berk, exists. He needs to fight all of these people because in the past, he avoided them. But now he needs to face it, because the present and the past decided to pin him in the middle and unless he faces his past, he won't be able to move along to his future.
