Sofie Ann de Lara and Alvin Jones have shared a friendship as familiar as a hand-me-down sweater: comfortable, worn in, impossible to replace. Raised in a built-in friend group, Sofie grew up spoiled, self-aware, and strong enough to stand her ground. She has a plan for her life now. A good one. And it doesn't account for old feelings resurfacing. Together or apart, Sofie and Alvin have always been the life of the party. But after time, distance, and a quiet fracture neither fully healed from, Sofie is learning she craves stability more than chaos. Until moving back home forces her to confront the one part of her plan she never dared to examine. Alvin Jones has always been the funny one. The charm. The crowd favorite no one takes seriously - least of all himself. Except when it comes to Sofie. And now that she's back, pretending she's just his best friend might be the one thing he can't survive.
