I glared. He grinned.

"Careful," he whispered, stepping closer. "I might just say yes... and hold this sick-leave secret forever."

My stomach flipped.
I hated him.
I wanted him to say more.

But just when I started to believe this might be something real -
his family spoke.

"Not at his level - in looks, or career."



Now I'm stuck between a man who makes me blush and burn,
and a family who says I'm not enough.

And I don't know what scares me more -
losing my chance at love... or losing myself to fit in.
