In which Erik is working late into the night, piercing up a regular customer Jackie, who strangely only seems to book her appointments for the night.

"Damn, I'll be seeing you in the night once more, I bet," Erik teased, "It's like you're a vampire or something."

His joke may have been just a simple joke, but it was the truth. She may look like a regular girl in her 20s, but the truth was that Jackie had been stuck at this age for almost 150 years.

"I-" Jackie was beginning to work up the courage to confess to him, but it was hard.

"Yeah?" Erik said, turning away to put the piercing equipment down and properly fitted into the correct spots.

"I am a vampire, Erik."

"Yeah, good one, Jackie," he replied, back to facing her.

"No, really!" she reiterated, yet she could tell by the look on his face that he didn't believe her.

Erik humoured her words, but didn't accept them, so she had to give him proof.

"Look." Jackie grinned her teeth at him, fangs quirked up on either side of her lipstick-coated lips.
