Living in Mystic Falls with her Aunt and Cousin for practically her whole life, Madeleine Charlotte Forbes was no stranger to small-town life and dangers. Her aunt, Sheriff Liz Forbes, had always been fiercely protective, insisting the girls learn to fight and shoot by the time they were thirteen. The girls never questioned it until they figured out why. Their small town was infested with supernatural creatures. And Madeleine was right in the middle of it, not because of what she was, but because of who she was tied to. A psycho original hybrid. Just when she thinks things are cooling down, in comes Roman. The youngest Salvatore brother who Damon and Stefan had thought was dead. When he arrives, he doesn't have eyes on the doppelganger or the barbie vamp, but the annoying, complacent brunette witch. Bonnie makes it clear she hates him, and Roman makes it clear how judgemental she is, yet somehow, they're both drawn to each other more than they'd like to admit in a romantic, but also very dark way.
