About two months ago, I found a kitten in an engine after he went for a six-mile ride. With only ringworm, fleas, and worms, he is now healthy and doing great. He's a white tom with silver tabby patches on his legs, head, back, and tail. Clarks is a Superman, so he was named after one.

Chip was going to be put down for aggressive behavior at a kill shelter. Two days before his expiration date, I saw him in the back and asked if I could try. Five cans of sardines and a kitty burrito later, he was a purring mess-and now I can't even have sardines in the house without a tiny black shadow under foot.
(In real life, he came from PetSmart, but he still hissed at everyone. Even me and my sister at first-then he spotted the feather toy I was getting for Clarks. That changed his mind fast, lol.)

A week ago, I got another kitten. Her name is Puzzle, and she came from a vet who missed that she had a broken leg. Two different vets later, it's confirmed: she has a fractured femur along the growth plate. The first vet wanted me to put my tiny tortie down. The second said her best quality of life would come through amputation.

Now, we're in a fight for survival.
