Plot synopsis:
Then, he relaxed and moved back. "You'll like Paradis High School. You better get ready, though. The kids can be overwhelming. Plus, teacher of the year," he tapped his chest, all triumphant. "That's me, and I'm gonna win again this year. I'm telling you early so your feelings won't get hurt when you inevitably lose."

His grin was crooked-a challenge.

"Go to hell, I'm winning whatever that is. I won't lose to you." Not again.

He lowered his voice, resting his head on the counter. "Again. Say that one more time, Y/N. Lose to me..."

"Fuck off."

He chuckled, sitting up, raising his arm to catch the bartender's attention for another drink. "Just you wait, Y/N. No one beats me at my own game."

Or, Y/N and Jean used to be academic rivals. They're teachers now, and the student voting for Teacher of The Year is nearing. Things ensue.
