Miranda's boyfriend Jon, an abusive, is why Miranda cuts. She cuts everyday- due to pictures of her ex and his new girlfriend. They have a long sad breakup story, obviously including Jon. Miranda is now afraid to care, not outgoing, and now broken. Her ex, he's ok. Funny, happy, looking like he has more fun with his new girlfriend, which makes Miranda cry and cut more. Things go way wrong... The thing is- Miranda wants him to love her again.

Ashley has gone thorough a lot in her young life, first she was abused by her dad , so she slipped into a bad depression and was diagnosed with PTSD. When she was in high school, she meet a guy someone she really cared about; but one day he told her that he was leaving her, he wasn't even really dating her, it was just for a bet. So she thought low of her self and started to cut herself and starved herself. And she got bullied a lot, and slipped harder depression state. When she turned 22 and moved with her mother to hope county to try and get away from the misslou, but never really helped her depression that much. Then she meet someone that she wanted to be with, he made her happy and smile she's hasn't smiled since her high school boyfriend. But she taught he could never love her, or so she thought.
