The Kingdom of Seranthor has hated Velthros since before Maeryn was born-which is awkward, because she just arranged her own marriage to their second prince. Why? Because a suspiciously convenient prophecy said it was a good idea. And also... because it might help her escape the one thing scarier than war: a medicinal herb lore exam. Princess Maeryn of Velthros has mastered swordsmanship. Nailed archery. But when it comes to remembering which root cures fevers and which one causes explosive diarrhea? Yeah, she's doomed. Cue Operation: Royal Marriage. Enter Prince Alaric of Seranthor-also known as the "boring prince," although Maeryn would argue he's more "brooding menace" He doesn't like her. She definitely doesn't like him. But now they're stuck together under one roof, dodging their royal duties, complicated curses, and the growing, uncomfortable realization that...love.. is just another curse. (FYI she still ends up writing that exam) Thank you for reading!!! <3 Hope you enjoyed it!!
