Being caged by his arms, made my stomach flip in excitement. The smell of him, of fresh sea air and cologne. How could I have almost dismissed all this?
"They say, if you catch a Duke's eye the whole world would be at your feet." He smirked, as his breath fanned on my neck.
My hands covered my face, heating in embarrassment at the memory and laughed.
"I don't care about the world at my feet. What about him?" I teased smiling up at him.
He lowered to his knees, slowly un-tying my shoes. My heart quickened at the sight of his eyes blown out and hungry.
"I guess you haven't noticed," he said looking up at me, "I've always been here."

Instead, her lips curled into a slow, mocking smirk, the kind that always got her into trouble. "Yeah? Keep talking and I'll break your fingers." Theo moved in before she could breathe, erasing the final inch of space like it had never existed. His long fingers grazed her jaw, slow enough to make it feel like a warning. Veins flexed under his skin as his grip closed, firm but not cruel, angling her face up until there was nowhere to look but at him. His shadow bled over hers, his chest brushing hers, the faint scent of him threading through her breath. Then came the drag of heat - his breath, steady and unhurried - grazing her cheek like he had all the time in the world to ruin her.
