"The hell is your problem?" I demand. When he doesn't answer, I grab my things to leave.
He moves in a flash, large hands wrapping around my wrists, trapping me. His eyes search mine. Anger crackles just beneath the surface. It heats his skin.
But I'm mad too.
"Problem?" He repeats, low and dangerous. "I have no problem."
"But you can't just do stuff like that."
And then his mouth is on mine, taking, claiming, demanding. He swallows me whole, dominates me, shows me that he's in charge. And he makes me LIKE it.
When he pulls away, I forget my anger and lean in for more. But his hand is on my neck, holding me in place as he drinks in my face.
"You need to understand something, baby," he whispers. "When it comes to you, I'll never fight fair."

It took a lifetime for hotheaded Bia Jenkins to finally sort out her priorities. Now, as a self-made hairstylist and second mother to her younger brother, she's on a mission to make something of herself and her family. Her anger issues are a thing of a past, her history of trouble-making a distant memory.
But when she runs into Tyrell Grant, her straight-as-an-arrow act falters. He's a bigger hot head than she is, the type to throw a punch before asking questions.
He's used to getting his way, and when he falls for Bia, he assumes that earning her heart will come as easily as winning a fight.
She has half a mind to show him that you can't fight every battle the same way, but part of her knows, deep down, that resisting him may be futile.
