We Met in a Silent Prayer

One night, Saad pushed open Arham's door without knocking.
The room was dark except for the faint glow of the lamp. At first, Saad thought Arham wasn't there. But then he saw him-on the prayer mat, forehead pressed to the ground, shoulders trembling.
Saad froze.
Arham's voice broke into the stillness, muffled in sujood.
"Ya Allah... if Fatima is good for me, grant her to me. If not, give me the strength to let go."
The words cracked like something breaking open inside.
Saad's throat tightened. He stepped back, closing the door softly, leaving Arham with his Lord.
That night, he couldn't sleep. He had always known Arham as calm, unshaken, controlled. To see him like that-raw, stripped of composure, clinging to prayer-told Saad more than any confession could.
In the chaos of medical college-wards, exams, sleepless nights-two people keep finding each other in silence.
She hides behind calm smiles.
He hides behind steady eyes.
Neither dares to cross the line... until secrets slip out, and stillness turns into something neither expected.
How long can you resist someone who feels like home?

Written in Duas
Thauba is 19. A little lazy, a little lost, and way too scared of marriage (even though rishta aunties are always lurking 👀). She loves K-dramas, journaling her overthinking at 2AM, and pretending everything's okay-even when it's not. She didn't grow up in a super religious home. But somehow, Allah started finding His way into her heart... through her friends, through her little moments of peace, and maybe, just maybe-through him. Rezaan. The calm one. The one who doesn't say much but somehow sees through it all. The one who suddenly appears in her life with a question she never thought she'd hear. Now her world's flipping, her heart's racing, and she's left wondering-can someone who's scared of love... still be written into a love story? A soft, emotional journey of faith, fears, and the quiet beauty of nikkah. Not your typical romance, but maybe... the kind your soul was waiting for.

Getting dressed I grabbed the hodni (scarf) as a mere source to cover my shame, he pulled me out of the room. With the pain all over my body especially the lower body, I wasn't able to walk; matching his speed was out of the question. I pleaded with him to stop, to have mercy on me but just like last night, my words were sent to deaf ears. Not able to match his pace, my steps were misplaced making me fall but it didn't stop him. He dragged me down the stairs in the same state injuring my entire body. I cried helplessly but none of his family members had even a hint of guilt. Everyone's eyes hold only one emotion for me which is disgust. Sitting on a knee he grabbed my hair in a painful grip and the words that came out of his mouth were something which I never expected. "The biggest mistake I've made in my life is, loving you." He said while tears flowed from his eyes. ••• Malika Adsule, a Clinical Researcher, is a quiet girl but for her close people, she is everything but quiet. Sanjh ke Baad - "A Journey from Silence and Soulmates "
----- Meher sat on the edge of the bed, her back to Arhan. The room was silent except for the low hum of the AC. Her fingers trembled slightly as she took off her bangles. She hadn't cried when the doctor said it. But now, in the privacy of their room, everything felt real. "Meher..." Arhan's voice was quiet, almost hesitant. She didn't reply. He moved closer, sitting beside her, leaving a respectful distance. "I shouldn't have raised my voice earlier. I... I was frustrated, not with you. The surgery failed. I failed. And then... when I saw you in pain-" "You didn't even look at me properly, Arhan," Meher whispered, her voice cracking. "I didn't expect much, but... a little warmth?" Arhan clenched his fists. He had always prided himself on being composed, rational. But Meher's words struck something deeper. He turned to her slowly and took her hand. "I was scared too. That I'd lose you, or that you'd hate me for not being there during ..................... I didn't know how to process it all." Meher finally looked up, tears glistening in her eyes. Arhan leaned forward and gently kissed her forehead. "I'm with you now. Every step. Every pain. No more silence, okay?" She rested her head on his shoulder, and he wrapped his arm around her, pulling her close for the first time-not as husband and wife by name, but by heart. Outside, the world moved on. But inside that room, something changed-something real, finally beginning. ----

Piece of my heart
{ Highest Ranking 👉🏻 #1 in Spiritual/ Islamic love story } I felt hurt seeing him in pain, pain, which wasn't so obvious to him. // .... Emotions overwhelming my unfaithful heart, I told him, "Assalam Alaikum, Ammar... your hand..." And they came covering us, maybe he didn't hear me. We walked towards the car, my attention on his bruised hand. Before we entered I took the first aid box. He stood there, tall, eyes ~ deep enough to drown me. He made my heart mad and it shivered as I neared him. I saw him grin and he let out a chuckle, and I asked him, terrified but fearless, "Why are you laughing ?" He turned to give me a closer look, his cold eyes examining every detail of mine and finally he spoke in his heavy Emirati accent that blew my senses, with a smirk alongside. What attitude !!! "Am I the doctor or you ? -I gave him a sideways death glare- And I told him, "I'm your wife," He raised his eyebrow side ways and I raised mine sideways too. And he talked again, burning what remained of me, my ears curious to listen to him. He told me to get in the car bluntly. I denied !! This time I wasn't going to listen to him. And he stared at me - his eyes speaking a lot yet they were so quiet. I saw him take a sigh of defeat! He moved up to me, close... closer.... bridging the gap that let air pass between us. And my fragrance blended in his enchanting one. *Takes a deep breath*Complete
