Maddox Blair Arterbury is a highschool student in Edmonton, living in a small community nestled just on the outskirts of town with his parents and older brother Kent Arterbury.

It's the middle of winter, the winds howling through snow dusted trees, and nipping at any exposed skin.

A seemingly normal morning played out as usual until Maddox actually began his Trek to school. The walk is normally about 15 minutes, but this time? he never made it past the corner store on main.

Even so, everything seems to play out normally in Maddox's consciousness, or what was left of it.

Falling slowly in love with a classmate, and even planning a future that never would exist.
