After a few weeks of Jim living there, the reader moves to LA as well. The Doors had just become popular in this time period, causing them to play more gigs and end up in more magazines. The more gigs, the more the public started to talk about the frontman Jim Morrison. However, fame started to overwhelm Jim in his private life. When things started to seemingly fall apart, he fell in love with a woman whose place he was staying at.
