However, knowing that Sukuna might come back as he was unable to seal his soul in the king of hell, due to his body being too injured. After watching over the jujutsu world for a time, and facing many battles, he succumbed to an incurable illness and passed away in his sleep. Before, his death he gave his eyes to Tengen and managed to become a cursed object after his altercation with the sorcerer Kenjaku. There he waited until he finally reincarnated into a boy named Haku Zenin.
