What initially starts as a cordially awkward relationship between the two couples unexpectedly evolves when they realize they have more in common than they ever thought...

It's a shame, though.

What they do have in common... is that one of them always leaves, and the other is always left behind, which leads to a very serious conversation about their true feelings.

It's just... I first watched the movie a few months ago, and the idea that there were some interesting parallels between Fujimoto & Granmamare's and Koichi & Lisa's relationships, like how always one of them is far away in the sea and the other is always at home caring of their childrens...

So yeah... Two Birds on a Wire, except the bird that stay isn't the toxic one here. It's just two overworked single parents that won't tell but still would want a little bit more of reassurance from their always fleeing partner... 💔
