"This world did this to you. Not you to it."
Imogen Hawthorne's life ended when she was only twelve.
She remembered the day the dead rose-the way they came back, hungry and wrong. But for a while, at least, she still had her family: her mother, Michonne, her father, Mike, and her baby brother, Andre.
They found safety. A real community, with food, fences, other people-and other kids. For a little while, Imogen almost forgot about the horrors beyond the walls.
But peace never lasted. Not in their world.
The day it all fell apart is a blur-maybe walkers, maybe raiders. All she knew was the screaming. The fire. And that by the end of it, she had lost her brother. And the man she used to call her father.
