Asher and Leah are both straight-A students, but could not be any more different. Asher, a nonbinary kid who tried to present as androgynously as possible, had an active social life, but a not-so-great home life. Leah, a girl who presented as feminine as humanly possible, had a great home life, but a lacking social life. The one thing the two had in common? Their goal of wanting to be top student at the end of the year. So when they're forced by their principal to compete together in a district-wide competition, forced proximity will make them realize what they've really wanted all this time.
