Entering an arranged marriage, Saga escapes her abusive father, but must now find her place in her new life while keeping the evil in her from harming those around her to avoid being cast aside.

Because of an ability she cannot control, Saga has been mistreated her entire life. As such, her father has no qualms about marrying her off to a man he considers a barbarian. When Saga has her first proper interaction with her new husband on their wedding night, she is surprised by how he is nothing like the rumours say, and even more surprised by his suggestion of how their marriage will work.
Viggo was born with nothing and has fought his way through life. Having gained status and money as a bounty hunter, the King has made him a vassal and given him a fief. It was something Viggo thought would give him a chance to find rest, but little did he know about the politics he would get dragged into. Even less did he know about the marriage he would be forced into.
As Saga and Viggo try to navigate their new life together secrets, schemes, and struggles threaten.
