The Gnawing Sickness: A World Consumed In a city teetering on the edge of oblivion, Celine, an 18-year-old grappling with the lingering pain of her mother's death and a fractured relationship with her hardworking father, Miguel, finds her world irrevocably shattered. What begins as a distant news report of a "weird new flu" quickly transforms into a terrifying, global pandemic: The Gnawing Sickness. This isn't just an illness; it's a brutal contagion that turns humans into ravenous, violent Infected. When a military helicopter crashes near his skyscraper, Miguel-a window cleaner high above the chaos-is trapped, fighting his way through an infected building, determined to reach his daughter. Miles away, Celine witnesses the world's collapse from her locked-down college campus, only to discover the infection has breached its walls. Haunted by her father's last, enigmatic message, "I love you... sorry for everything...", Celine must lead a small group of survivors through a city devoured by horror. Their desperate journey across a frozen, ravaged landscape leads them to a remote military research facility in the Nevada mountains-a beacon of hope, or a final trap? As they navigate its eerie, powered-down corridors, they uncover horrifying truths about the virus, its origins, and a chilling automated protocol: The Containment Purge. With the Infected now actively being released from the facility's lower levels, and a new, agile horror rapidly ascending the ventilation shafts, Celine and her dwindling group face their ultimate test. Will they find a way to shut down the fatal protocol before they are overwhelmed? Or has humanity, trapped within this metal tomb, merely stepped deeper into a nightmare from which there is no escape? The fight for survival has only just begun, and the true horror of The Gnawing Sickness is yet to be fully revealed.

Back by popular request! The 2017 rough draft of The Virus Within! (Caution: Contains massive plotholes that were fixed in the polished The Virus Within Series. Grammar issues are present, particularly missing commas.) What do you do when you are one of the infected? The virus in my blood is trying to steal my humanity. It alters my very thoughts and reactions. It taunts me by tempting me with desires that it planted in my brain. These bloodthirsty desires would lead to my demise if I ever gave in. I have more in common with the zombies than with humans at this point. Even the fallen zombies accept me as one of their own. Blood is required to retain my grip on sanity, but the sweet-smelling blood from humans is a short path to madness. Human blood is to be avoided at all costs. Humankind around the world was driven close to extinction by the sudden appearance of the zombies, yet small groups of survivors constantly manage to appear and put my control to the test. -------------------------- This is a standalone zombie book. It has nothing to do with A Different Virus. I wanted to try a book with an easily irritated main character and a nutcase secondary character. This book has a slightly darker outlook at the beginning than my usual stories, but it has some humor further along. Definitely not a horror story, although it has its share of action. 4 updates a week: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday! Copyright April 2017. All Rights Reserved.
