The Dreadnought War



Centuries in the future, mankind found that they were not alone. They were fortunate that many of the surrounding planets and galaxies were home to fellow humanoids. 

There were the Volks, who had red skin and six fingers. There were the Anthians, creatures with ears that resembled cats or dogs. There were the Nixes, but not much was known about them. And this was just to name a few. 

Either way, the humans made peace, formed alliances, and waged war with these species.

However, that changed when beings of insurmountable power entered their side of the universe. The newcomers destroyed scores of cruisers that dwarfed even the largest of the galactic cities. Humans and their allies struck back with super ships of their own--flying juggernauts and leviathans armed with the most advanced technology and weapons--all to push back the gargantuan force. These foreign iron mongers became collectively known as Goliaths. And the Earth Alliance Force created a new class of super weapons to battle them called the Dreadnoughts. And thus began the first of many Dreadnought Wars.All Rights Reserved

The Anthros have near complete control over North America and are fighting Humanity in South America, but the main human bases are located on the Hawaiian islands. With death seeming inevitable for human kind, can nothing stop humanity from extinction? Zero has just graduated from high school with good marks and a scholarship. His family wanted to celebrate, so they said they would wait for him. He went back to grab his wallet, and as he turned around, he started falling in a wormhole, closing afterwards. I am not from this planet. Hell, I am technically not from this galaxy. However, that doesn't change the fact I am here now, and my job is to save what I can on this forsaken planet and what's left of its inhabitants. The problem is that not everyone wants to be saved. I know what you're thinking. You can't save those who don't want to be saved. I bloody well agree. The ones who sent me don't care what you or I think, though. All they care about is numbers. They need a certain success rate to continue to get funding for their "expeditions" and "peacekeeping" efforts. I use both terms loosely here. The creature is simultaneously lizard and birdlike, while also having anthropoidic characteristics. Once upon a time, this alien race made contact with a lost human Civilization in the region. The two races initially made an alliance, but the greed of some of the humans caused a war to erupt. The discovery and cursory inspection of the cave by one of the characters results in an impromptu, amateur tour. During the journey through the cave one of the co-workers, through a combination of stubbornness, curiosity and willfulness, becomes separated. He stumbles upon a cache of interesting artifacts inside of an oddly inhuman room with alien technology. It is in these confines where he unlocks the being whose last memories of human interaction are still freshly stinging its memory. The group grapples through the tenuous caves trying to escape the creature's vengeful wrath. The ensuing mad flight from the cave to relative safety results in a battle for survival.
