Carlos has been living on a knife's edge his entire life, always doing what was expected of him and taking his step family's abuse in stride. But when he receives a letter from his sick mother, he sets off to take care of her. Unfortunately, this presented the perfect opportunity for his step siblings to get rid of him. Now on the run, Carlos get's gravely injured and ends up in the arms of a creature of myth. Hiding out with his newfound companion, he finds more than he ever could have imagined. Hope. Love.
